Daylight Savings Time
Theres something called the DST or the daylight savings time, where in we increase or delay the CLOCK by an hour so as to enable us enjoy MORE DAYLIGHT…….OHT????
Ar’ite…..let me try n explain…..laymens terms only……
We all know that in summer the sun rises abnormally early….atleast earlier than the usual winter sun and sets in pretty late there by giving us longer days and shorter nights. So what few interesting and fundu ppl though way back in Germany during the world war…was we can get more mileage out of the daylight in summer…..hehehheheh weird :O
Daylight Saving Time (or Summer Time as it is called in many countries) is a way of getting more out of the summer days by advancing the clocks by one hour during the summer. Then, the sun will appear to rise one hour later in the morning when people are usually asleep anyway, at the benefit of one hour longer evenings when awake: The sunset and sunrise are one hour later than during normal time. DST could save energy (less artificial light is needed during the evening) and make the country more efficient in addition to the pleasing effect of lighter evenings. To make DST work, the clocks have to be adjusted one hour ahead when DST begins (during spring), and adjusted back one hour to standard time every autumn. There are many countries observing DST, and many who do not. In INDIA we DO NOT OBSERVE DST..but IT companies are ruled by the US of A …and so
ST.
This time around it starts from March 11th till the 4th of April i guess…….
my tummy goes…..hmmmmm
yeah thats right……well facts and more facts about life out here…….esp for all the ppl out there on campus……………….one gud thing that you will ike out here is the fooooooood. Its gonna be one of the most awaited relief factors from the campus life(apart from the fact that you can booze every night, although i wont advice to do that, and that too widout the fear of our dear wardens). Talking about the food….(be it free or subsidized, as in few ps stations….doesnt really matter much) u are gonna get treated with a lot of varieties of food here. Breakfast, tea/coffee served, lunch, again tea/coffee/lemonade served, and the luscious pantry to lure you with loads of varities of biscuits ( loads means i am referring to 2 or 3 here, with monaco or the salty ones be ing one of them for sure), and the juices (in some ps station) which are termed “easy flickkables”, so just in case you are luking fwd to ps2 to loose weight….”forget it buddy!!!!’. What you need is is osme exercise, apart form the 2-3 Kilometers of walking that you might end up doing from one bus stop to home , or another stop, but because sitting in front of your computer IS going to be the most important curriculum of your daily routine….. :O
Nevermind, life goes on, mast khaanaa khaaooooo, and sac out maaro for PS2 you are getting paid to enjoy.
Thankyou!!!!!!!!
I would like to thank all my readers…..and would appreciate to get your comments.

Saturday…..in office!!!!
Yeah that’s write…….i am in office on a fine Saturday morning when everyone else is either taking bath now at 11 am or still in bed ……
One good thing about coming to office on a Saturday(forcefully a working day for everyone….this sat cz we were let off on another day last week)……is that the traffic treats you enormously well, u get to find a seat in the bus, the bus gets to pass every traffic signal with ease and you reach a well deserted office too early than the usual working day.
The whole campus is being washed today and you carefully put your feet across the sprinkles of water. You are greeted by the security person instead of the receptionist and see cube is being cleaned and your pin board cleared…..hmmn……no water in the cafeteria so u cant make yourself a nice hot cup of coffee to begin your laborious day, that is eventually gonna pass listening to music…..downloading songs and videos, and yeah chatting and orkutting…….this is the life of an IT-professional who s made to come to office on a Saturday morning………so all u guys out there…who r luking fwd to having fun at ps2…rethink…….it can become a pain at time…..but……..u will eventually enjoy n hav fun.
Disclaimer: these things don’t happen at my office…..
hmmn……JOKES Apart!!!!!!laugh at ‘em

Mergers & Acquisitions
Literally speaking a Merger occurs when one firm assumes all the assets and all the liabilities of another. The acquiring firm retains its identity, while the acquired firm ceases to exist. A majority vote of shareholders is generally required to approve a merger. Whereas on the other hand an Acquisition is where in a company takes over another…One company can acquire another in several other ways, including purchasing some or all of the company’s assets or buying up its outstanding shares of stock. Knowledge Management
hmmmn….well i have been reading stuff and off late i read about KM…knowledge management. So i thgt i will put it in here……
KM basically comprises of the following:
1. Knowledge creation, generation of data, processing information, learn, research and innovate.
2. Capture knowledge from memories, personal notes, scratch pads etc.
3. Store the knowledge in retrievable formats in repositories like servers in the web.
4. Structure and transform the stored knowledge into well organized formatso as to make it easily tracable and perceivable.
5. Share the available data and information with people through knowledge fusion into the society.
6. Manage the above with the help of smart minds of comitted, motivated and interested individuals.
well to think of the human BRAIN is the best example of KM…….. our five senses collect all kinds of informations and the brain processes them and stores it iin our memory. The left half of our brain processes the data while the right half applies logic and stats to the acquired data, there by a thought process is born.
So this was it…in a nutshell knowledge management……
Have you though about it?
Maybe I’ve been the problem,
maybe I’m the one to blame,
but even when I turn it off and blame myself the outcome feels the same.
Hmmmmn…how many you have actually seen your nail or ur hair growing?(atleast one?).I know u will think i am insane to be asking this.Have you ever thought abt it? The road is full of vehicles, every RTC bus is overcrowded and yet you step into one such bus, for else you will be late for your office. Have you ever thought why you do it? What is the need for you to do that? i know everyone wants to reach office in time, but isnt that a huge compromise?
You reach office , hungry stomach, and paddle you way to the pantry to grab a half roasted sandwiches or hard to break dosas……why do you do it? Have you ever though about it? I know you would probable say u need fuel too to work.
Dont you think the world is full of problems? But have you ever thought about any as your own? i mean who in this world has time to think about all this. Nevermind, atleast you dint ask “why am i even reading this guys blog?”
There are many things to ponder about but we hardly have time n energy to think about them. Thoughts those can go beyond sustanence are not entertained by most of us. But….again its having thought about it or not is what really matters.
Well i guess this completes my most complexly put thought as for now…. guess i need a lot of work to put things better……….
I get paid cz i m on my way to office when people take their dogs out on a walk
The buzz word for me in the last 45 days…BMTC……heheheh…never tried to even find out what that stands for….may b i guess thats “bangalore metro transportation corporation”…..blah blah. Well one fine day i was up at my usual time 0630 hrs, and having caught my 0730 hrs bus, i glanced out of the window to see rich, not so old ladies, taking their dogs out for a walk. hmmnnn……imagine what else they could so early in the morning, when we the poor IT professions were on our way to our offices. Life of an average IT professional, who does not have a bike, starts as early as mine does. well, people who own their own transportation can relax a lot and come to the office at their will….as early as 1100 hrs. But people like me cannot afford to miss their 0800 hrs bus , bcz the next bus would be only 30 min later and will take you to the office 90 min late than the usual time, thanx to the enormous traffic that flows in on the roads this time, every single day. This would mean you will not be greeted by the plate hard to break POORIES or the idli-vadas , and start off with you work.
This is life….a new chapter has begun indeed. New challenges right from the time you get up….gone are those days when you could get up at 1100 and go to the mess to have your breakfast and lunch( both are the same here) and play CS…
, whole day long. Meeting friends on weekends only, and of course a bit of bowling helps. Yet here i am in memoirs of those 7 semesters and the FOG trying to prepare for my technical seminar tomorrow……….i miss u all….
